Sheet music:

1. Come, see the King in splendour rise,
The Champion over death.
A shout of triumph on the lips
That breathed their final breath.
With glory brighter than the dawn
He stands where once he lay.
The shroud of death he casts aside;
the stone is rolled away.

Alleluia, Christ is risen,
The fight is fought, the battle won.
Alleluia, Christ has conquered.
The reign of sin and death is done.

2. Come, see the King in splendour rise,
In radiance from the gloom.
The women run in trembling fear,
Bewildered from the tomb.
‘Don’t come to seek the living Lord,
forsaken with the dead,
For Jesus, who was crucified,
Has risen as he said.’

Alleluia, Christ is risen,
The fight is fought, the battle won.
Alleluia, Christ has conquered.
The reign of sin and death is done.

3. Come, see the King in splendour rise,
His mission now complete.
Now Satan, sin and death lie crushed
Beneath his wounded feet.
A victor’s crown is placed where once
Thorns pierced his bleeding brow,
The cross where once he hung in shame
Becomes his glory now

Alleluia, Christ is risen,
The fight is fought, the battle won.
Alleluia, Christ has conquered.
The reign of sin and death is done.
